Started Because a Sweep Quoted Us $3,800 for a Crack That Didn't Exist

Summit Chimney & Fireplace started in 2015 after our founder watched a chimney company quote his parents $3,800 for a “crumbling flue” — with no photos, no camera, and no way for anyone on the ground to check. A second look showed the flue was fine. He spent the next year getting CSIA-certified, bought a camera rig and real sweeping equipment, and went out under one rule: every finding gets photographed, and nothing gets added to the bill after the estimate.

Years later, Summit runs multiple crews and books work across several metros — but the flat-rate rule and the photo-documentation requirement have never changed. Every job ships with timestamped photos from inside the flue and on the roof, so you can see exactly what was there and exactly what we did. The team is background-checked, fully insured, and books same-week in most markets.
